About Craig
Craig Campobasso is an award-winning filmmaker, author and Emmy-nominated casting director whose career began in the entertainment industry at fifteen. After early acting roles, he moved into Hollywood production, working on films including David Lynch’s Dune, Conan the Destroyer and Total Recall.
His casting career developed on Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories, and his work on David E. Kelley’s Picket Fences earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Casting for a Series. He has spent more than three decades working in the field.
A spiritual awakening at twenty-six inspired Craig’s journey as an author. His original four-part series, The Autobiography of an ExtraTerrestrial Saga, evolved into the expanded Starmann series. His storytelling brings together explorations of consciousness, creation and extraterrestrial life with the imagination of Hollywood cinema.
Craig also wrote The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac: The Ultimate Guide to Greys, Reptilians, Hybrids, and Nordics and The UFO Hotspot Compendium: All the Places to Visit Before You Die or Are Abducted. His screen work includes The Extraterrestrial Species Almanac: The Documentary and Stranger at the Pentagon, which he wrote, directed and produced. The latter received Best Sci-Fi at the Burbank International Film Festival and a Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston.
His media appearances include Coast to Coast AM, Fade to Black, the Travel Channel’s UFO Witness, Gaia’s Deep Space and Beyond Belief, and the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens.
